Just read up on some cool news for those looking forward to the Kia EV3, turns out, North American models will be produced at Kia’s plant in Mexico starting in late 2025. This move means the EV3 will be eligible for the EV tax credit, which is awesome news for future buyers since it helps bring down the cost to around $20,000 to maybe $30,000!

Apparently, the US-spec EV3 will be a bit different from what other markets get, maybe with a bigger focus on range. The standard version will have a 201-horsepower motor up front, but a high-performance AWD GT version is also on the way a few years down the line.

For battery options, they’re planning a 58.3 kWh for standard range and an 81.4 kWh for long range, which could mean about 280 miles on the EPA scale. This is great for anyone who wants a solid range without breaking the bank.

It’s exciting to see Kia making moves to expand EVs in North America! What do you all think? Are you considering the EV3 now that it’ll be produced locally and have that tax credit?
