I just came across interesting news about the new Kia EV3! It turns out that LG will be supplying its vehicle webOS platform, which could be a game-changer for in-car entertainment of the EV3. LG developed webOS for smart TVs, and now they’ve adapted it for cars, with the EV3 being the first electric vehicle to feature this platform.
From what I’ve read, the system will support popular streaming services like YouTube, Netflix, and more, and even come with some preloaded apps for games and interactive content. They’re also introducing something called “LG Channel,” which offers over 80 channels and 400 VODs, all free and ad-supported. No need for membership!
I think it’s awesome that Kia is integrating such a robust entertainment system into the EV3, but I’m curious what everyone else thinks. Do you think this will make a big difference for in-car experiences? And are there any concerns about safety with all these features available while driving?
