I just came across some exciting news, Kia confirmed that AWD and GT variants for the EV3 are on the way! It looks like Kia is stepping up its game with this low-cost electric SUV, especially after such a strong start in Korea and the UK.
With a range of up to 372 miles (WLTP) and competitive pricing (rumored to be around $30,000 in the US with federal incentives) the EV3 is shaping up to be an interesting option. The compact size comparable to the Chevy Bolt EUV makes it even more appealing for city driving and daily commutes.
I’m curious, what do you all think about the EV3 as an affordable EV? Do you think the AWD and GT trims will make it a stronger contender in the US market? Also, would you pick the EV3 over something like the Chevy Bolt or even a Tesla Model 3 with its new incentives?
